about this piece

The central figure in the artwork is the dreamer herself. Everything around her consists of ever-changing dream episodes. The elements in these scenes do not repeat, mirroring the variety of dreams one may experience in a single night.
The girl’s headdress features the head of a toucan bird turned away from her face. This symbolizes the dreamer’s openness to the mysterious, implicit, and hidden aspects – those that lie deep within our subconscious or beyond its boundaries.

The paradoxical dream

artwork captures the enigmatic nature of dreams where the dreamer perceives oneself vaguely and blurred, surrounded by vivid, unusual, and often incongruous events and experiences. Throughout the night, multiple dream episodes may unfold, each disconnected from the others. I created this piece of art over the course of 9 years, making it particularly valuable to me due to the significant time and effort invested in its creation.
